Homecoming was an incredible night for all students on October 21, 2017. The theme of this year’s homecoming was “Escape To Paradise”, a Hawaiian theme. Decorations were beautiful. The centerpieces were mason jars filled with faux colored flowers and a LED candle. The food, provided by the Culinary Careers Academy, included: fried rice, tacos, spam musubi, fruit kabobs, cupcakes, and some fruit salad. Students enjoyed snow cones, a caricature artists, tattoo artists and photo booth provided by the Multimedia Careers Academy.
Now, let’s talk about the looks that everyone served. Long gowns, sparkling dresses and matching outfits. Many female students looked gorgeous wearing their long and beautiful prom-like dresses. Young male students were looking handsome wearing their tux and well cleaned dress shoes. Some male students donned denim jeans, a collared shirt, and some sneakers. A group of young ladies wore sparkling short dresses, which looked very well suited on them. One couple went matching with the color red and they looked absolutely adorable! I wonder what students are planning for their prom outfits now!
Everyone had a blast at this years homecoming, especially the seniors. I’m excited to see the same excitement and spirit at the next dance. Congratulations to all the homecoming court that were crowned prince and princess at the football game the night before. Congratulations to our king and queen Musika Vailea and Sara Tran. Homecoming was LIT.
