Anyone Can Do It by James Duran
Here is my set of three photos taken of Lydia Night, A young female musician that plays within the LA circuit I shoot in. I originally intended to make a collage of different women playing and fronting in their bands but decided to use these images as the focus is more on a single person
and simpler to grasp.
My goal for this image set is to inspire young women to front bands and make music and be free without fear of judgment or discrimination. There is a lot of misogyny in the music industry towards women and I hope that images like these inspire young artists in a way that makes them feel that they do not need to compromise their values or art to feel free and creative.

Leuzinger's Trash by Michelle Phan
Leuzinger’s trash and littering problem is ridiculously out of control. Although there are trash cans placed in almost every corner of our campus, students still just throw their trash wherever they’re sitting or standing. Many students litter because they all have the belief that there are workers, such as janitors and street sweepers, to clean up the mess for them even when there are always available trash cans not too far away. If students throw their trash anywhere like they do at school, outside of school, they contribute to the bigger problem of our world that needs to be urgently fixed. Our environments are highly at risk due to this problem. It’s harming our animals and contaminating water that many people and animals rely on. Students need to be more educated on the effects of littering because contrary to their beliefs, not everyone is going to clean up their trash for them, which causes them to be some of the reason for our many environmental problems.

This photo allows us to see that we have chance to chose the path for our future. It’s up to us to either chose the right or wrong path. The reason why I chose this picture is because no one else has the right to choose what we do with our lives but ourselves. We either keep going in the correct way or we mess up our lives and go to the wrong side of the pathway. There is simply no in between.
The Beach by Karla Cruz
The Beach by Karla Cruz
This picture is persuading as Ethos, because it's showing how there are different verity of culture flags in the beach showing that, even though there in a public place where all are welcome to different, these cultures are where they can feel themselves and feel free to enjoy where they want to be with others who are different color. Also, having the beach the common place where you see many people hanging out with family and friends.
Homelessness by Jamel Jones
The homeless population has grown over the past years, due to the stressful times in America. It's sad that I go outside and walk, I see someone sleeping on the cold hard concrete. Everyday I think "that could be me in the future." The sidewalks we walk on, the parks little kids go to play, those are peoples homes. Some things in life you can't take for granted. One day, you could be successful, while the next, you could hit rock bottom.

Well first things first, yes this picture was taken by my crappy android phone. And nooo, this is not my attempt to bull crap my project either (even though I may or may not forgotten to check out a camera from Hiller). Okay with disclaimer aside, what this picture means to me is my beginning of dabbling with photography and a budding passion for it. I am one to be inspired by pretty things, mostly captivated honestly. And I should also point out that you can see this was taken in 2015 back then my sophomore year. So way before I took the actual class of photography. But I feel like I should talk more about the passion part of it. I know it's not shown in the picture, but I feel like there's a part of me in it. Sounds corny, yeah but I've found passion in the art and I don't think I ever felt passion for something worth doing before. Maybe happiness is the better term. Personally, I love anything that brings me happiness especially when it's enough to motivate you. Even though the focus of the picture is a lone dandelion with a ray of sun being shown upon it, I think as the ray as hope, the flower as me, and the sidewalk behind it maybe, opportunity. Kind of sad to say that almost to mid junior year I lost that happiness I once felt, but I've been meaning to get back into it.
Protect Our Environment by Jacobey Young
Roses represent the miracles in nature but consistently we ruin our environment. We only think about our well being and don't think about the consequences that come from our actions. When we buy things and don't properly dispose of those things we cause a bad effect on our environment. Soon enough we won't have this beauty to behold in our lives. Recycle, throw your trash away, and save your environment.
Sisterhood by Desirae McCoy

Equality by Jasyn Estell
This is living proof that racism is a non existing subject. We are all human beings and we are all equal. We are all equal on the inside. Just because we have different shades of color on our skin doesn't mean we can't get along. Nobody should be shamed or against anyone because of the color of their skin.

The school in the background is UCLA and its one of the most difficult schools to get accepted to. And lets say you apply to this school and get denied, you can learn from this moment and move forward with it. This image is also encouraging students and adults to learn from their failures and use it for the future. For example, if you fail a test and you know you struggled with the subject you could go to tutoring and do better on the next exam. Or when you lose a game you better prepare for the next game. That’s whats this life is basically about, learning from your mistakes.
Aesthete by Ainor Hussein
These photos would persuade others by relaxation and peacefulness. For me, the beach is my best friend, my happiness place, and favorite place. The beach is the only place that will keep your secret and the only one place that will always be there if you have a bad day. Beaches are not only there if you are in a bad mood, it's also a romantic place to be there, a place to have fun, a place for just you.
